Geraldine Hughes commented on their status:

"While visiting the Encino home I did meet Michael's children recently and just want to let you all know that they are handling it probably better than we are.  Paris was so proper and knew everything concerning Michael; Prince is really a cool, nice and bigger than he looks on t.v., young man.  Blanket's hair is halfway down his back and he was running and playing like any normal kid.  They kept peaking to see who was visiting, so Katherine just said "okay you can come in and meet the ladies."  It was awesome!  The children seem to be doing just fine. They had the best love Michael had to offer anyone. I'm sure his love for them will last a life time."
