Darcey Bussell: I regret never learning Michael Jackson's moonwalk

The Strictly Come Dancing judge never managed to master Jackson’s most famous move

Prima ballerina Darcey Bussell says that despite massive dancing success, she's never been able to do the moonwalk.

‘Michael Jackson was one of my guiding lights. People talk about his music, but he was a phenomenal dancer too,' says Darcey.

‘I was 14 when Thriller came out, and those dance moves knocked my socks off.'

Former Royal Ballet star Darcey, 43, feels that Jackson is part of dance's history.

‘To me he was the continuation of a dance tradition that went back to Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly,' Darcey tells The Mail On Sunday.

‘Despite hours and hours of practice I never mastered his signature move.'
