'Final Night'

The words they just keep coming

Not easy for most to understand

A great symphony, I’m the solo on the baby grand

Like an orchestra playing inside my head

I can barely close my eyes at night

Not easy to go to bed

But I must for out there somewhere

More words into my head will be thrust

Too many songs left unsung

Compositions never written

With the lyrics, I sometimes find I’m a bit smitten

But on the final night

So many words I could barely see straight

I wanted to put them into song right there

I could hardly wait

Instead I cradled in my arms the music of your love so tight

I never knew that this would be my last and final night
