"I'll Get By"

One more time, let me see your smile
As I remember it to be.
Take me away from this day to day life
That I don't always want to see.
Bring your joy and wonder home
So we don't have to try,
To imagine that you're still here.
I guess for now I'll get by...

The world can be a lonely place
When you're down and oh so low.
You look for that spark that lights the way
To lead you where to go.
The questions keep coming strong,
And all I ask is why.
For now it's just enough to get by...

The wind blows cold, like I feel inside,
My soul hurts even more since you left.
Your throne sits empty, gathering dust
Like the music lost in your death.
How to get back to that natural place,
Guess I'll just have to fly.
Something tells me you'll be there
And together we'll get by...
