'The Last Call'

You took your final curtain call
The return of the prodigal son.
And though you didn't know it then
Your work was nearly done.
You were so full of promise, as
The rehearsals were winding down.
Your trek from L.A. to London
Was about to get off the ground.
Your youthful exuberence was on display
For all the world to see.
The sound of your voice in command
As only it could be.
With the grace of a cat, your every move
Was precise and in control.
I only felt admiration
For your magical heart and soul.
The stage had always been your friend,
As the rehearsals got bigger and grew.
Your legend cemented in that stance
Confirmed what we already knew.
The greatest showman that ever lived
Would grace the stage once more
To thrill and excite our senses
And rock us to our very core!
Your artistry was unparalled
Your vibrant step on cue.
Your dancers were in complete awe
Of the moves only you could do.
And as the finished credits rolled,
I couldn't walk away
Without thinking you weren't done
With what you had to say.
But your triumph on Earth wasn't to be,
Not with those shows you had planned.
You conquered much more in life
Then we could possibly understand.
So dance in the Heavens, Michael
That's where your real triumph awaits.
The inner child wish come true
Beyond the pearly gates.
Always and forever, Michael
Love Karen
