Katherine Jackson Awarded Permanent Guardianship

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff appointed Katherine Jackson permanent guardianship of Michael Jackson's three children during a court hearing on Monday.

Mrs. Jackson was named by Michael as the first choice to raise the children in a will filed in 2002. She is the only person who formally petitioned for custody of the children since Michael's death on June 25.

Debbie Rowe, Prince and Paris' biological mother, reached a custody agreement last week.

Prince, Paris and Blanket have been living with Mrs. Jackson at the Encino home since Michael's passing. The two oldest children apprently indicated that they wished to remain with their grandmother.
