MJ MEMORIAL: POEM FOR MICHAEL

The Shining Star that was misunderstood

As a child I wanted to be a shining star;

I was quiet and shy but perceptive;

I absorbed everything like a sponge;

I wanted to sing and dance;

And be like the light of a million shining stars;

As I grew up and on my way to be that shining star, I was misunderstood.

I wanted everything to glitter around me like a shinning star;

I had the glitter of a smile;

I had the glitter of the one-hand glove;

I had glitter shirts and jackets; on down to the glitter socks;

But I was misunderstood.

I changed my face for only I know the reason,

I was misunderstood;

Because I loved children and poured my heart out to the

Little helpless stars, I was misunderstood.

People called me Wacko Jacko, I was misunderstood.

They tried to darken my shining star but that shinning star will live forever and ever more.

When you look up in the sky at the shining stars at night, you will see my smile bright as the moonlight.

For I’m at peace now and where I am, I won’t be misunderstood.

Shine on MJ...............
