In the wake of his recent death, Michael Jackson's album 'Number Ones' has reached the number one spot in the UK album chart and he also has six new entries in the sigles chart.
His greatest hits album Number Ones went up from 121 to the top of the charts, and it was his last number one when it first came out in 2003.
Another four of his hit albums have made it back into the top 20. Thriller rocketed up from 179 to number seven, King of Pop has gone up to number 14, Off The Wall is at 17 and The Essential Michael Jackson has claimed the number 20 position.
In the British singles chart, 43 out of the top 200 singles have Jackson singing on them and it has been reported that the star has sold more than 300,000 singles and albums in just two days since his death.
Jackson's Man in the Mirror was back in the top 20 at number 11, nearly 20 years after it was released for the first time. Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Beat It and Earth Song are other singles are back in the charts and moving upwards.
