Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait Newsletter December 22
Happy Holidays! Letter from the Editor Dear MJTP Dot Members: The holiday season is upon us. It’s a time for family and friends to come together in love as we’re reminded of what is most important in life, caring for one another. That goes for our worldwide MJ family as well. We are a global empowered family, brought together by one remarkable man. Our community itself is a testament to the power of Michael Jackson. How many other entertainers can say they have an entire community? However, we are a community in need, because our feelings of loss are still ever present, and that leaves us vulnerable. Anything negative that surfaces about Michael still hurts us deeply and has the potential to divide us. But, in spite of our differences, we must not let that happen. He would not want that. Shortly after this Tribute was created, the management team made a conscious decision to make this a pure and positive place for fans to come and engage in their love for Michael. We pride ourselves on being a Tribute based on love. Our efforts are meant to build and strengthen our community. We do not engage in controversies nor participate in fans attacking each other because of a difference in beliefs or opinions. The MJTP tries to remain a neutral entity because we are here simply to love, honor and celebrate Michael; the man, the music and the legend. I begin this issue with a very special holiday message for the entire Michael Jackson Community; a message of peace, love and harmony. I know this video will bring tears to your eyes because while I was creating it there were tears welling up in mine. It is a message inspired by Michael, meant to lift a community in need; his community. We are his family and we have to remain strong and united. The Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait was invited to attend the premier party for the release of the ‘Michael’ CD. Kim Durham, Director of Marketing, represented us. Be sure to watch the videos and view the pictures she has posted. Kim felt blessed to be surrounded by thousands of fans enjoying Michael’s never-ending music; and our Tribute felt proud to be officially represented at an event that furthers Michael’s legacy. Michael ends this issue with his Christmas message from 1992. It’s still as important today as it was then. On behalf of the entire MJTP Tribute Team, we wish you a happy holiday season. Linda Higgins

Updates on the MJTP Premium Site After further discussion, the MJTP Tribute Team has decided not to move forward with the Premium Membership site at this time. We appreciate all the feedback we received, both positive and in opposition, but we have decided to move in another direction. The MJTP magazine, Dot To Dot, will continue to be a free gift to our members.
Commemorative Dot Certificates Update We are pleased to announce that the remaining orders for the Commemorative Dot Certificates will be shipped before the New Year. These custom-made keepsakes have proven to be a very popular item – so popular that we could not keep up with the ordering of supplies, assembly, packaging and shipping. There were some other unexpected issues too. We sincerely apologize for the delays, and we thank you for your understanding, trust and extreme patience. All should arrive between now and a week to 10 days following New Year’s Eve. If, for some reason, you do not receive your Certificate in the mail before January 15, please alert us by sending an e-mail with your name, username and dot number (and order number, if available) to: [email protected].
