Restoring the Honor to Michael Jackson’s Name

By Linda Higgins - I have made no secret of the fact that I believe Michael Jackson’s character was attacked purposely in order to ruin his reputation. The people who set out to do that succeeded, and there were many. They succeeded in attaching a stigma to his name, to the extent that it became a disgrace to be associated with him.

When it reached its peak, to say that you were a friend, fan or advocate of Michael Jackson brought snide remarks and laughter. Shame and humiliation are powerful emotions and people will go to great lengths to avoid them; hence the reason why many friends turned their backs on him during his 2005 trial, why many fans didn’t dare declare themselves to be so, and why the Gardner Street Elementary School disassociated themselves from him, by covering up his name on the auditorium that they renamed after him in 1989….Read more

I’m Going Back to Indiana…

Have you ever dreamed of going back to Indiana; back to where it all started for the Jacksons? 2300 Jackson Street, the most famous street in Indiana, was the place to be on Michael’s 52nd birthday.  Two of our Tribute Team Members, Raven and Nancy, took a road trip to be part of the festivities. They each have written wonderful articles about their experiences.

Raven, our Director of New Generation Outreach, took a trip by herself to see Michael’s childhood home and celebrate his 52nd birthday with other fans.   She writes about her experience in a way that will make you feel like you were there yourself, proving intimate details of her trip and lots of pictures.  Read all about it here.

Nancy, MJTP Managing Editor, recounts her experience in a series of Gary Tales.  She invites us to relive her experience when she says, “I’d like to take you on a journey…not of mourning, but of celebration!  Welcome to Michael Jackson’s Birthday Party Weekend at 2300 Jackson Street!” Read More.

Help Fund The Tribute
We want to make sure every Michael Jackson fan in the world has an opportunity to get their dot in his portrait, so please help us keep it going strong by purchasing your favorite item in the store, buying raffle tickets, or making a donation. Funds are needed specifically for ever-increasing hosting fees, software upgrades, programming support, as well as Tribute sponsored charitable events (like the one at the Magic Johnson Theater for 60 kids from the inner city), publicity, special promotions, general expenses, and more. This tribute and our website community can only continue with the support of our members due to significant costs. Every little bit helps and we sincerely appreciate your support.

“The ugly, misinformed shroud in which the media continues to keep him must be torn away, to allow his beautiful, loving light to shine. He inspired two generations of young people in their pursuit of music and dance. He brought smiles and laughter to ill and underprivileged children all over the world. He raised human consciousness to become involved and help to reverse the destruction of our planet by greed and misguided people, and he compelled us to focus our thoughts and efforts on helping children. He knew they hold the answers to our problems.”

“One of the BEST things I've ever done in life is sign up for my own personal dot. It's a wonderful way for me to somehow feel as if I'm part of him, part of his family, and his children will one day know that this was made by his fans out of L-O-V-E; that’s what it has ALWAYS been about. Michael meant the world to me and I have been completely torn apart at what has happened. If I can't have him back here with me; this is one way for me to feel close to him.”

In Michael’s Words

Dancing the Dream

Consciousness expresses itself through creation.
This world we live in is the dance of the creator.
Dancers come and go in the twinkling of an eye but the dance lives on.
On many an occasion when I'm dancing, I've felt touched by something sacred.
In those moments, I've felt my spirit soar and become one with everything that exists.

I become the stars and the moon. I become the lover and the beloved.
I become the victor and the vanquished. I become the master and the slave.
I become the singer and the song. I become the knower and the known.
I keep on dancing and then, it is the eternal dance of creation.
The creator and creation merge into one wholeness of joy.

I keep on dancing and dancing.......and dancing, until there is only......the dance.......
