Mother Earth Passing Right Before Our Eyes
The winds are outside gusting
Everything around in a musing
Snowflakes swirling in a fury wondering why they are all in such a hurry
Sitting on the banks of snow some of us sit and rest below
Glistening in the moonlight beams
Of all the things unheard all things unseen
The stars will follow along the voyage
Shooting across the sky sending a message
To put into perspective our own objective
The tide and flow of all that glows
The fluid emotion of my diligent devotion
To passing along in my love of song
All I was after was love ever after sharing it always with you
In my beginning everything was spinning around in my head just too fast
I've done everything I could to heal this old tired world
Mother Earth has always given so much to us taking
The warnings she gives us by shaking
Never thanking her for all she's done
We dump all of our messes upon her very tresses
And expect her to keep spinning around
Just look at the damage by all of our passage
Upon this sacred place called earth
On which we all started our life from birth
We need to start over before it's too late
The world of today so full of evil and hate
What happened to loving, caring and sharing
Was it all just an act to deceive
All the gifts she bestowed upon us
All of which we were to happy to receive
It needs to start now the love and the healing
Love an emotion very few if any are really feeling
It won't wait much longer, the hates always growing stronger
We need to change no more Good-Byes
Or Mother Earth will pass right before our eyes
