My Heart Knows You

You are the eagle on the wing.
The winter's call of an early spring.
The silent step of a new-born fawn.
The magic when the singer meets the song.
You are the gentle drop of rain,
Softly tapping on my windowpane.
The dance of the butterfly in flight.
You are the dawn's first light.
The spray of a cascading waterfall,
The snow capped mountains majestic and tall.
You are the crashing waves on the shore,
The buried treasure on the ocean's floor.
You are every tree yet to be climbed,
You are the tune that hears the rhyme.
The ship that sailed stormy seas,
The sweet nectar from the bees.
You are the child's laughter on a summer's day
The evening star that refuses to go away.
The beating heart that lives to show,
This heart more than she's ever known.
