Inner Michael Messages
Michael's people write me to say they are upset about how his memory is being treated by the media. Michael admirers have been through a roller coaster of emotions his entire career because of his treatment by tabloids. As if that wasn't enough wounding, they feel that now after his passing, they must watch helplessly as his memory is sullied and his legacy smeared.
They are disheartened because Michael is still exploited by the tabloids and he is not here now to challenge or refute the "inside stories" that pass for legitimate journalism and news.
They are still talking about his private life as if it's OK to dissect someone and feed on them after their death. There is a name for that and it isn't pretty. It wasn't OK in life and in death, it is particularly disturbing.
Admirers are disgusted and repulsed by the doctors who are supposed to keep medical records confidential and with spiritual advisors who are supposed to have integrity and who betrayed Michael's trust and now his legacy by revealing private conversations.
They are angry that a program like Investigative Discovery's documentary by Aphrodite Jones that featured Michael and his trial and included actual interviews from his attorney, jurors and close confidantes seems to have been all but overlooked in favor of the still viable tabloid factor that seems to invade Michael's life and legacy at each opportunistic twist of fate or every deliberately manipulated moment.
When they are not sad and weary from the constant barrage, they are angry. They long for a way to push back, to protect the humanitiarian and gentle soul they have come to know. They long to preserve the real Michael. They long to see his legacy preserved. They want it to stop. They have had enough.
Ok, if that describes you... here's what I want you to do: I want you to be on the phone with me Wednesday to talk about this. I will hold an open line for you and we will talk about how to push back, how to change the world, how you personally can be a part of making it right for Michael and with Michael. We will talk about his legacy. I know he has personally recruited many of you and I want to hear from you.
Why do you think you are here? You ARE Michael's legacy. You ARE Michael's hands to push back. You ARE Michael's arms to embrace another tomorrow. You ARE Michael's heart for the children of the future.

Love is a frequency
Love is a nice feeling. It feels good to love, to be loved. Falling in love and being in love makes people feel "high" and makes the world look lovely. Love, physical closeness and sexual intimacy actually have a chemical influence on the body, releasing Endorphins and Serotonin and enlivening the body down to the cellular level. Emotional well being and mental peace of mind produces high levels of beneficial chemicals. People who love and are loved are radiant. Love has inspired much in the world, especially in the realm of music, song and film. The love that inspires intimacy and affinity is called "Eros."
"Philos" is a love for family, community, friends. It is friendship love. It is reserved for those whom we consider as part of our circle.
There is another kind of love that connects us to others in a different way--to each other, to consciousness and to the world. "Agape" love is the love we have for our fellow man, for the interconnected web of life. It is magnanimous, generous, unconditional and encompassing. It is the love that devours, sweeps and encompasses all. Agape love fills in all the cracks and makes aggression impossible.
Within agape there are two ways to love: in isolation and in expression. The isolated lover is contemplative, seeks out the deserts, forests and mountaintops and lives as a hermit or saint who loves much and demands little. This kind of love is transformative and can transfigure.
The expressive form of agape involves contact with other human beings, enthusiasm and a sacred sense of work. It involves trance, ecstasy and connecting with God or the Divine. The God stuff comes through the person and into the work, the direction or idea. When we believe in something from the bottom of our soul, we tap into another force, an energy, a certainty and intensity of purpose; we feel stronger about the world, about faith. When Jesus spoke about the Kingdom of Heaven belonging to children, he was speaking about enthusiasm within agape. Enthusiastic agape is magnetic; it brings others into the circle because of its nature, its attractiveness.
There have been people in the world who loved unconditionally and with this enthusiastic quality and frequency of love. The Dalai Lama energizes any venue; Diana, Princess of Wales lit up a room; and Michael was the most visible example of enthusiastic agape in action in the world.
This radiance is what especially attracted children to Michael. Children are born with this inner shimmer and they recognize it in others; they resonate. They will seek out and follow someone who embodies this brightness and love. You can't fool children; they have this inner radiance until indoctrination and the collective vibe of the world dims its light. Children recognized Michael's frequency and wanted to be around him. People flocked to his concerts because they felt the vibe in the music and the man. It is the same exchange of love and devotion that moves between guru and devotees who want to hang out and bathe in the master's energy.
From what we know or have learned about duality, we can understand how a beaming light in the darkness or this rarified love vibration brings its opposite pole into being. For every Yin, there is an equal Yang. Outshine those whom you minister to and cheerlead and watch the resentment begin and the friendships fall away. Achieve a certain level of success, especially in the arts, and watch people become uncomfortable. Achieve worldwide fame and adoration and watch the mean people come out of the shadows.
We are finding that meanness doesn't work anymore. Humans are filled up on that frequency. The world doesn't want to hum that tune anymore. We are learning about unity, about sacredness, about God in the work, the world and people. We want to sing a different melody. We are tired of war, hatred, terrorism, threats and the divide and conquer ethic. We want to love. We just need to learn how to do it better.
People like Michael remind us that we can be so much more. Michael would sing "Heal the World" at a concert and yell "house lights" requesting that the audience be lit so he could see them. The audience would be swaying, singing, crying, lighting flames and feeling the vibe. Michael would yell "Look at yourselves; you're beautiful!" When is the last time someone said that to you? When did you last stand in a crowd knowing that you belong absolutely, that you were all beautiiful and that you are one with all the others? You are in that crowd now.
Love is more than appears. It's more than a feeling. Is it a place? Is it a state of mind? A vibe? A rarified frequency? A way of being? Companion animals and children know it and teach it: animals wag their tails when they see you just because you're there; children have natural exuberance.
When someone is being that frequency--the love wave, we know it; we feel it; we adore it; and we want to be around it. People who have this vibe or frequency of enthusiasm in agape are beloved. It explains the relationship between Michael and his audiences, Michael and children, Michael and his fans. Run the frequency of this kind of love through your body, then stand back and watch the miracles arrive.
Blessings and Peace,

Who was Michael being?
Michael Jackson knew far more about spirituality and the structure of the Universe than he let on. Some of his training was from Deepak Chopra whom he called to ask for meditation instructions. Dr. Chopra introduced Michael to meditation and taught him about the inner self. Michael already understood far more about meditation than most of us even before his tutelage by the Indian doctor. How? He already was a master of movement and dance. Dancing is a form of moving meditation. Music is a transcendental realm all by itself.
"Transcendental" takes us somewhere else, beyond the ordinary, past the waking consciousness, beyond the boundaries of the possible and into the land of magic, mystery and mysticism. Michael was a student of Walt Disney who was a master at creating transcendental experience. Disney's films transported us into another realm, a place where the normal rules of physics and the laws governing physical life do not apply. In Disney's world animals talked, people could fly and being a changeling through shapeshifting was perfectly normal and frequent.
A kiss, a nod, a sword, magical words, a potion, a song, wishing on a star and so many other things that appear ordinary could transform. Disney characters were masters of metamorphosis--transforming from one state to another. The stars of Disney's land of magic and make-believe always became something beyond their dreams. Disney never ridiculed people's dreams nor were they discounted or dashed for long. Disney encouraged and subliminally told us without words that we could be so much more.
Michael encouraged us the same way through his music, dance and the films he produced. Michael understood magic, metaphor, allegory and archetype and he understood what happens when the magic dies and one settles into the cynical world of the grown up mind. In touch with his inner child and Divine Blueprint, Michael recognized and knew the piece of God (or Allah, Buddha, Krishna and so on) that every human inherits from the Universe no matter their faith and spiritual path. He was intimate with his "Inner Michael" and the Source from which the spark got its fire. Michael knew what could happen if that spark ever faded; the downward spiral would begin. Is it inevitable? Michael didn't think so. He encouraged everyone to embrace such "elementary things."
Michael also was familiar with martial arts, another path to the energy of the Divine. Superhuman strength and stamina comes from tapping into a Universal energy or Presence and that is what practicing martial arts does. It provides discipline and focus and a kind of meditation where the mind meets the body in an extraordinary way. He also knew yoga and used yoga stretches to warm up his body for dance. Martial arts also use voice in the creation of force and energy that can be harnessed for powerful expression.
The combination of ritual movement, voice and chant will quickly alter one's consciousness from ordinary to blissful. Kirtan, which is a Hindu inspired musical event that includes music, movement and chant can bring one to a state of ecstasy within minutes. Kirtan is the practice of chanting the various names for God in Sanskrit which is an ancient esoteric spiritual language. It holds a code and a frequency that brings one within reach of bliss and Divinity.
We are not what and who we appear to be. There is so much more that we are and can become. Spiritual discipline and practice over time develops an energetic strength that when tapped, creates metaphysical or beyond physical abilities. Many world religions hold this information in their mystical and esoteric teachings. Many cultures had mystery schools where they taught spiritual training and discipline to gain secret knowledge. Egyptian mystery schools graduated priests and priestesses who embodied Divine qualities. The Pharaoh was not only a king, but was also considered a god.
There is energy in ritual and there is purpose in its performance. The major religions at their mystical core teach the "more" that we are. They view humanity as "one" and preach the golden rule to do unto others what you would want for yourself. Some faith traditions keep that information in seclusion and only for those considered advanced students or adepts; some, over centuries have lost or forgotten the meaning behind the ritual, the chant, the incense, and the religious rites.
Michael embraced people from all faiths and from all cultures of the world. He saw the Divine in the transcendental and Divinity in the human. He saw this special unadulterated and undimmed light in the hearts of children. Unspoiled by the cynical and demanding world, he saw the innocence, unconditional love, unshakeable faith and endearing trust that children operate from as the keys to transforming the world. He loved them and resonated with them because he was them and he saw the world through those transcendental eyes. He saw the world not as it was and is but as a blank canvas for what is possible. He loved "elementary things' because that is where God hides.
Michael is not the first person on this planet to see that "being like the little child" was an answer to the problems of mankind and the human condition. He identified with them. He was one of their ranks. He knew "a child will lead them." Despite the indoctrination, the urgings, admonishments, insults and attacks, Michael retained that vibrational frequency of love and innocence that the uncompromised child knows; he
embodied it. You know the one--the one that will lead them to the "Wild Divine."

Michael and the Dance
Michael Jackson wrote about his love and experience with dance in his books "Moonwalking" and "Dancing the Dream." Here is what he said about dance:
"Consciousness expresses itself through creation.Dancers come and go in the twinkling of an eye but the dance lives on. On many an occasion when I'm dancing, I've felt touched by somethign sacred. In those moments, I've felt my spirit soar and become one with everything that exists. I become the stars and the moon. I become the lover and the beloved. I become the victor and the vanquished. I become the master and the slave. I become the singer and the song. I become the knower and the known. I keep on dancing and then, it is the eternal dance of creation. The creator and creation merge into one wholeness of joy. I keep on dancing and dancing... and dancing, until there is only... the dance."
People who practice physical movement with great discipline, concentration, force and stamina sometimes report having unusual experiences . Those who dance, do martial arts, ski, practice yoga, run marathons, or practice intense or extreme sports often experience a "merging" with the Divine Impulse or a peak experience or "high" from the activity they engage in.
Many have had experiences of merging into everything or feelings as if all of life is collective, all people are related, are evolving toward "oneness." Connecting to your inner passion or joy brings a sense of "more than" the realm of ordinary or mundane experience.
The yogis say the breath breathes them and dancers feel the dance possessing their bodies and dancing them. Many times the movement or perception is not voluntary. Michael Jackson spoke of this phenomenon. In his interview with Oprah she asked why he grabbed himself in the groin. Michael explained how the dance took over and he ceased to think. "Blame the music," he said.
He would often review films of himself after performances and wonder at what had occurred. "Did I do that?" he would ask himself. When the music moves through instead of from you, those involuntary movements are common. It's the same energy accumulated as Tantric sex and Kundalini energy of the Hindis. It feels like intense fire.
Sufis, trance dancers, mystics, dervishes and other spiritually oriented people practicing some form of repetitive physical meditation feel something take them over and the beauty and art comes through them causing their bodies to move in certain ways.
Yogis who practice breathing techniques like Sudarshan Kriya, Alternate Nostril Breathing, Pranayama, come upon a boundary in the experience where self melts away and the breath or Presence takes over. The breath breathes the yogi and the effect has certain physical characteristics. Re-birthing has the same effect. Mothers breathing in childbirth sometimes report an unusually expanded sense of reality.
In Shamanic journeys the shaman crashes or breaks through a boundary or membrane on the way to non-ordinary-reality. The dance of fire can cause trance, out of body feelings or merging with the flame. Indian sweat lodges are designed to hold heat and fire and present avenues for traveling beyond normal boundaries and possibilities. Some mushrooms, substances or chemicals can open the doors to other worlds and altered states of consciousness.
Music too, and especially dance can launch one into a journey beyond the ordinary. It can present a merging with the Divine. Michael linked and plugged into this holy circuit each time he sang and especially when he danced. The expression of "the dance" is to let that Divine impulse take over, have its way with you, and launch you directly into the space called now and to live totally in the moment, in a place of abandonment and freedom. An internal Peter Pan, Michael came closest to flying while lost in the dance.
The place and space of creativity, of letting the Divine course through you, is the sweetest, lightest, most holy place on Earth. It has a quality, a feel, a smell, a frequency that is rarified--like breathing mountain air that has never before touched a human. There is no mistaking it; one knows it when one enters that portal. Yes, it is a magical place. A mystical space. The place where God is; it's where the human outbreath is the same as the inbreath of God and the inbreath of the human is God breathing out. It is a connection like no other. There is no world. No self. No effort. No time. There is only the Dance.
To touch your Inner Michael:
Put on your favorite Michael CD. Choose a song with intense crescendo or modulations. Begin to move your body slowly at first, minding the rhythms. Focus on how the music feels as you allow it into your movement, your muscles, your bones, your tissues and cells. Watch your breath and just feel. Ignore any thoughts that may intrude. Allow your body to do whatever it wants. Don't direct or censor or limit. Flow with the music. Become one with it. Dance your bones. Dance your soul. Dance the Inner Michael. When you are done, lie down on the floor and sense your body and its energy. Let the feeling settle over you and in you. Turn on your side and roll into a fetal position. Now just breathe. Just be with yourself. Just let your self be. Don't rise until you are complete.
Blessings and Peace,

Reading the Codes?
The popularity of "The Da Vinci Code" indicates that people are really beginning to understand that messages and frequencies are encoded in spaces and places and many forms of communication.
Have you ever touched an object and felt a warm sensation? Looked at a landscape and felt something leap inside? Visited an historic place and felt a presence but no one appeared to be there? Backed up against a tree and felt something tingle in your spine?
Many ancient cultures used this knowledge to impart codes and messages to the constituents of that culture. Glyphs, symbols, pictograms, petroglyphs are found in every culture and hieroglyphs of Egypt are especially fascinating as are the writings of Mesopotamia. Symbols, figures of gods and goddesses, coins, art reliefs, object d` art, vessels, paintings, carvings, sculptures, talismans, are a few examples of encodings that are physical objects that communicate something significant.
Are there other forms of communications? Oh yes, watch a laser light show and observe how you feel. Look at the night sky, the moon when it's full, the ocean as it catches the glade. Stand under the rafters and watch a thunderstorm and sense the purity of the air afterwards. Feel a strong wind in the dry desert air, a cool breeze in the forest.
Find a stand of redwoods and meet the majesty. Stand at Niagara Falls and feel the power, visit Lake Superior and know the wild and raw nature of unbridled force. Climb the rocks, hike the mountains, feel the blanket of pine needles under your feet in the wildlife sanctuary.
Do these things have vibe? A signature frequency? Do they convey a message? Do they attract? Repell? Soothe? Energize?
What about a movie like Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia? When you watch certain movies do they inspire you? Make your spirit soar? Do you suppose they have a message? A message beyond the obvious one?
And what about music? Are certain frequencies embedded in music? Are there codes contained in melodies? Do certain scores evoke certain feelings? Cause certain visualizations? Provoke emotional reactions? Make you want to sing? Move? Dance? Cry? Laugh? Some music has been thought to heal wounds-- either physical or emotions. Do you think that is possible?
What about Michael's music? Does it evoke certain emotions? Inspire? Make you want to cry? Spin your body? Dance? Does Michael's music have certain frequencies? Does it have healing properties? Hold a message? Might music have DaVinci-like codes or messages? Do you suppose there are codes or messages in Michael's music? In his voice?
Michael's songs are full of subliminals as are his "short films." His keen and tongue-in-cheek sense of humor is mingled with the images but there is more... much more.
Listen for the message. Listen for the light, the spirit, the beauty and the codes. Listen carefully to what your body is saying, what your mind is doing. Sense, know, feel and experience the magic in the music.
Was it deliberate? Did Michael know what he was doing? What he was creating? I suspect that most of the time, Michael knew exactly what he was doing.
Shortly before he died, Michael made a comment to Kenny Ortega about his creative process in songwriting. Michael was working on a song for London and the new album. Kenny wanted Michael to get some sleep and Michael replied that he couldn't because he was "channeling." What Michael meant was that a song was coming through him from the Source-- which Michael called "God." Kenny asked if Michael could tell God to wait until he got to London for the O2 Arena concerts and he could then finish what he was working on once he was settled in and rested. Michael replied "Oh no, I can't do that! If I don't do it now, God will give it to Prince."
Was Michael embedding the God code?

What is going on?
Many of the letters I received from people around the world have outlined a similar journey embarked on right after Michael Jackson's death or perhaps after seeing the movie "This Is It." It is a phenomenon that is being experienced in some form all over the world.
People report: having dreams about Michael; having compulsions to play his music; a constant urge to watch his "short films" or music videos; visiting you tube daily for Michael material; waking up with a Michael song in their heads; feeling a need for a daily dose of Michael's music.
Some of this of course, is the natural grieving process. Funeral rituals often involve going back to the casket bier several times in order to let the reality sink into one's psyche that the loved one is truly gone; the body no longer lives. Revisiting that finality helps us to begin the process that will bring us full circle and complete the grief.
For many who liked or loved Michael Jackson, the reality has not sunk in or has not been allowed in. A revisiting allows us to assimilate it in increments. It may be too big to wrap your mind around all at once. That's OK. That is the case with some people as it is hard to let go of someone whom may have had a hand in defining your life.
But there is more going on here beyond the normal grieving. The mass of people reporting the same or similiar unusual experiences appears to extend beyond ordinary numbers and defies natural convention. You may have heard of "mass sightings" of an entity or a phenomenon; there appears to be a mass "feeling" or a kinesthetic perception or appreciation of Michael's Presence that takes a variety of forms.
People have also recounted that they may have strayed from Michael's music or influence at some point in their lives and since his passing, have found their way back into his "fold" by buying new CDs, digging out their old Jackson Five albums, finding or buying his book and playing his music daily, sometimes in large doses.
Some people are new to the Michael experience and are just now discovering the message in the man. And often they wonder how could they have missed it? How could they not have known. Well, it's OK; it just wasn't time. If Michael knew anything about "message" it was timing. Michael was patient. It's Ok to arrive later; you're still at the party.
If you saw the movie "This Is It," you will recall Michael at the end of rehearsal standing with everyone holding hands and saying "This is a great adventure. We have an important message for the world. We need to put some love back into the world."
Certainly Michael's concerts would have done that but not on so grand a scale. People who were not Michael Jackson fans before are now listening to his music, are looking at his contribution to the world. They are teaching their children who have not known before, about Michael's work. This would not have occurred had Michael lived. You will also remember when he flicked his fingers into and at the assembled "This Is It" cast and crew, and began talking about the "energy" and saying it's all for love-- L-O-V-E, love."
"Energy" is a very real thing. The vibe of "Love" is very real and Michael Jackson knew how to encapsulate it in his work. We understand that everything is energy-- from a single atom and its parts, to the entire Universe. All is made up of energy, of atoms spinning and oscillating. The Universe literally oscillates creating a sound; it "sings."
Music and sound is all about frequency and resonance and creation. Everything moves, is shivering, it oscillates. Everything vibrates at a particular speed or frequency. That frequency is its "signature" frequency. It is the signature vibration (vibe) and it carries an energy "quality." That energy is "read" by those it encounters. It is invisible and indiscernable with ordinary science or by ordinary means but it is very real.
Don't believe it? Ok, walk into a room where someone has just had a violent fight. What do you feel? What does your body want to do? What does your breath do? How about entering a chapel, sacristy, Mosque or Temple? Feel that? Do places and spaces have a feel? An energy? A vibe? Have you ever visited Auschwitz? Egypt? What did you feel? Or what would you expect to feel there? What of holy places? Do holy places have a signature energy? Can you detect a loftier feel or frequency to a place that holds great beauty?
Do you love some places and yet are repelled by others? Do you linger somewhere to soak up the feel of that place? Do you avoid other places? Or bolt from them for reasons you do not understand? Do you even notice how your body feels? How you feel?
Michael and Michael's music has a vibe. You are craving it or revisiting it because it holds a particular frequency. It finds and amplifies a resonant frequency in you. It is yet another message to the world from Michael. Do you feel it? Do you hear it? What does it do to you? Soften you? Energize you? Make you want to cry? Break into song? Soothe your soul? Tame the beast? Make the day bearable? Make your soul soar?
It's happening. It's real. Yes, it is being felt everywhere and people everywhere are getting a message. Many are resonating. Michael is putting some love back into the world. There is a reason you are here now playing Michael, reading Michael, dreaming Michael, humming Michael, loving Michael.
And he loves you more.
Blessings and Peace,
Rev. B
