Third Annual MJFanvention features rare archival footage of Michael Jackson
Lee and Vogel also highlight activities
Gary, IN -- This year, creators of the
MJFanvention the annual Michael Jackson fan conference, are thrilled to bring
the MJFanvention2012 back to Indiana for a full day of events and activities.
The weekend activities are from August 24 - 26.
As part of the celebration weekend, on Saturday, August 25 the Chicago Blues Museum will be temporarily installing a custom exhibit on the history of the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson - covering their beginnings in Gary, to first early performances in Chicago to the meteoric rise of Michael Jackson in rare archival images at the Marshall J. Gardner Center for the Arts at 540 South Lake Street in Gary. The exhibit will also feature rare archival footage that has never been seen of Michael Jackson's 1987 concert in Japan. This footage, up close and personal, has never been seen outside of Japan. This is the first exhibit of Michael Jackson every provided in his hometown of Gary.
