Twilight, Michael Jackson Look-a-likes Top Halloween Costumes This Year
As children become more style conscious, celebrity dress styles and movie themed clothing are predicted to the rage this year. Predictions are that we will see lots of children and adults sporting costumes from the hit movies in the Twilight series, and Michael Jackson videos.
How many children are likely to be wearing the Hugo Boss white suit that Michael Jackson made famous on the cover of his famous and chart busting "Thriller" album? Will we see children sporting the “jeweled glove” that Jackson wore on his tours? The original of that glove recently sold at an auction in Australia for $48,000.
Since his sudden death earlier this year, Michael Jackson videos have been all over the internet and on television, so a plethora of his show costumes can be expected to be seen as you greet Trick-or-Treaters this year.
While vampire costumes have long been popular among children and adults alike, more Twilight looking vampires are more likely to be seen this year. All of the major retailers are featuring vampire accessories such as capes, fangs, and vampire make-up, to help children look more like Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies.
While there appears to be a lack of specific vampire costumes to emulate Cullens’ look, it is relatively easy to copy by using a long gray coat in place of the usual vampire cape, and of course lots of body glitter and a leather cuff bracelet. Top off the look with lots of hair product to style your hair like Cullen, and Twilight fans will see little Edward Cullens all over the streets and at teen parties around the world.
Of course, we will still see the ghosts, goblins, witches and other traditional costumes. Retailers are featuring vintage clothing as well, as this style is popular with movie stars and other celebrities.
Costumes for your pet is a popular theme as well, so expect almost anything as your doorbell rings and at Halloween parade through the malls this year. Are we expected to have doggie treats on hand too?
