"Where Love Lives"

- A Poem by Karen

When I was lonely, you gave me a hug.
When I was sick, you stayed by my side.
When I was ridiculed, you knew how that felt.
When others would question, you never asked why.

When I was homeless, you opened your doors.
When I was scared, you made me smile.
When I had no place to lay my head,
You gave me your heart and said "stay awhile."

And when I was bruised, you took away the hurt.
Where I was once lost, you showed me the way.
When I was too proud, you taught me humility,
And gave me the words when I had nothing to say.

You lifted my spirits with your sweet laugh.
You brought back the magic with your ethereal dance.
And in your gleeful countanance,
You taught me to fly and take a chance.

You are the soft silence of beauty's delight,
Of gossamer wings in the air.
Where charity lives also do you.
You'll be forever in our prayers.
