Connecting Our Dots
One of our New Year’s Resolutions for The Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait is to send out periodic newsletters (like this one). These newsletters will help us reach those of you who got your dots in Michael’s Portrait, but haven’t taken advantage of the social networking and other features that have thrived on our Tribute website. There are benefits to keeping your dot active and connecting your dot with others.
These newsletters will also be a way to inform all dot members of what is unique, special and new about the Tribute, which is now the largest and most respected Michael Jackson tribute in the world, supported by some of Michael’s friends and family members.
We hope to be seeing more of each other as we continue to build our home together in 2010 and connect our dots at http://www.MichaelJacksonTributePortrait.com!

What’s In Store For You?
The Tribute Portrait and website are possible thanks to YOU. It is run day and night by the generous work of a team of unpaid volunteers and funded only by your purchases and donations made at the Tribute Store. We are excited to announce the opening of our NEW STORE on the website. At the request of many of our members, we have added additional “I’m A Dot!” merchandise to the store. One hundred percent of the proceeds from every purchase goes into keeping Michael’s Tribute Portrait and website alive. Please consider supporting the Tribute by visiting the store today. You earn a FAN SUPPORTER BADGE for your profile page each time you shop. Your participation means so much by allowing us to pay for monthly fees to run different aspects of the website, a programmer to keep it running smoothly, press release distribution, special promotions to spread the word, and live events to carry on Michael’s work, such as the charitable event we staged at the Magic Johnson Theatre for 60 deserving children from the inner city.

Get Your Fan Sponsor Badge!
Some members have been asking if the website will continue to connect fans all over the world beyond the completion of the portrait. To answer any concerns, we are committed to keeping our community alive and growing even after Michael’s Portrait is hanging in a prestigious museum; however we can complete this interactive work of art and keep the website and its mission going only with your active and ongoing support. This Tribute is funded solely by the participants – those who got their dots and enjoy all that the website has to offer. Your support means everything. In addition to your purchases at the new Tribute Store, you can keep the Tribute Portrait growing and website going with your DONATIONS. One hundred percent of your donation is used to support the Tribute. Each time you make a donation, you will receive a coveted FAN SPONSOR BADGE on your profile page as our thank you for making it all possible. We’ve come a long way, but there is much more to be done to reach our million dot goal. We would be grateful for your help to get us there.

The Jackson Family Foundation Joins the Tribute
We are pleased to announce that the Jackson Family Foundation is endorsing The Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait. They are a not-for-profit organization, which will head the development of the Jackson Family Museum and Cultural Center to be built in the birthplace of the Jackson musical family – Gary, Indiana. It will be a memorial to Michael for fans around the world to visit, as well as a tribute to the entire Jackson Family. The Jackson Family Foundation will support charitable cultural, social and educational projects. For Michael, family always came first. This was evident in his constant acknowledgment of them. He reached out to all the members of his family in times of need, and the love was returned in their constant support of him. We are proud to be working with the Jackson Family Foundation.

Be Part of the Big Picture in 2010
“A Facebook for Michael Jackson Fans”
As Michael’s Portrait grows, so will our relationships with one another and our commitment to carrying on Michael’s mission with more charitable events and initiatives with the portrait in the real world, like the successful and uplifting event we had for the FAMILI, INC. organization, with cast members from the movie “THIS IS IT” and other celebrities.
Our dots have brought us together from all over the world to create a beautiful work of art in-the-making, but it is also bringing us together to create a one-of-a-kind community that we hope will thrive forever. This website is being referred to by many dot members and the media as “a Facebook for Michael Jackson fans.” This is something we didn’t expect when we first invited fans to simply get a dot in their name in Michael’s Portrait; however connecting our dots with one another has become just as valuable as the portrait itself. If you haven’t been to the website in a while after getting your dots, please take a look. We know you’ll love what you see and experience, and we promise you will make some lifelong friends and feel a sense of purpose. It’s become a healing, magical, positive place where Michael’s legacy lives everyday.
Happy New Year,
David Ilan Jerry Biederman
