Several hundred Michael Jackson fans flocked to Discovery Green in downtown Houston Thursday night for one final tribute to the pop icon.
The Houston Dance Community joined by Sandra Organ’s Dance Company held Thriller dance lessons for anyone and everyone.
“I’m here to learn the Thriller dance,” said one fan.
The fans lined up on Discovery Green’s lawn to get a step-by-step lesson on how to move like Michael Jackson himself.
“I’ve been watching this since I was 8 years old, so it’s engrained in my memory,” said Renee Jones. “Just to be part of his music and dance, bringing it to life is awesome.”
It was one final tribute to an artist who touched so many lives.
“Michael Jackson means so much to me, he taught me it’s okay to be different,” said another fan.
