Commuters at New York City’s 66 Street-Lincoln Center subway stop were in for a surprise when they were met by Michael Buble. The Grammy winner serenaded subway riders Thursday with an a cappella version of the Jackson 5 hit ”Who’s Lovin’ You,” off his new album “To Be Loved.”
He performed the song with R&B a cappella group Naturally 7. When the song was done, Buble’ looked satisfied with the show, remarking:
“That is the coolest thing ever, man. Singing in the New York subway is something that’s been done for years and years and years and I think it’s the most authentic, organic way to make music. [...] That is when you know you’ve made it. Truly, singing in the New York subway. [...] You see some of the greatest musicians in the world come down here and play.”
