Judith Hill And Sarah Simmons Eliminated on ‘The Voice’

“The Voice” results are in and Judith Hill and Sarah Simmons, both of Team Adam, are shockingly going home.

These were easily the most surprising results “The Voice” has seen thus far in Season 4. Judith, a former backup singer for Michael Jackson, was an early favorite.

On Monday night, the singer took on Will.i.am’s “#thatPOWER,” featuring Justin Bieber. It was a risky move, but Judith had newfound confidence after singing “The Way You Make Me Feel” last week and getting through the emotional performance. Judith was supposed to be Jackson’s duet partner for his “This Is It” tour, which was canceled when the singer died unexpectedly. She attracted global attention when she sang the lead on “Heal the World” during Jackson’s funeral, but didn’t want to seize any of the many opportunities offered to her in the wake of the King of Pop’s death.

Early on in the competition, Judith was named “the one to beat on the entire show,” according to Newsday, and her departure from “The Voice” definitely came too soon.

Coach Adam Levine saw his team drastically cut after this week’s “Voice” results show. Along with Judith, soulful singer Sarah Simmons was sent home. On Monday night’s performance round, she sang the tired track “Somebody That I Used To Know” by Gotye, which could have contributed to her elimination.
