A judge is expected to decide on JAN. 3rd whether KATEHRING JACKSON can get a new trial against concert promoter AEG for negligence in the death of MICHAEL JACKSON, 411MANIA reports. AEG was acquitted of those charges in a jury trial last OCTOBER (NET NEWS 10/2); His mother filed an appeal in NOVEMBER and earlier in DECEMBER, her attorney alleged jury misconduct and general procedural errors, including confusion over jury instructions.
AEG argued that “the jury instructions were clear, fair, and taken directly from the CALIFORNIA Civil Jury instruction guide book” and that JACKSON is “wasting her time and making a mockery of the legal system.”
