Dear Mrs. Katherine,
Although I like to think of myself as something of a quality writer, I cannot accurately describe to you what an impact Michael has made on my life, since I have not fully realized it myself.
As a child, I emulated him, mimicking his dances, mannerisms, and talking to him as if he were my own friend. Although we never met, and I was never able to see him perform live, I believed he was my friend, and if I spoke to him, he would answer. As an adult, I’ve been able to see him as an icon, a legend, and a prophet, and a deeply sensitive and kind man that could never seem to win against the media and court of public opinion.
I know now that Michael will always be in my heart, and I will continue to honor him in film, words, and any other way I can. I’m grateful to have this opportunity to share a few thoughts with you, as Michael would say, “it’s all for love”, and I would like to pass that love from me to you, your family, and Prince, Paris, and Blanket.
My thoughts are with you all daily.
Thank you and Love for Michael now and forever,
~Nicolette Olivier
