♥ "Love's Mark 2"♥

Love lies beneath the layers
In degrees only found in some.
Infused in the fibers of his being
Footsteps followed the call to come.

Those feet that danced a million miles
Would trek around the globe,
Spreading joy and happiness all around.
With endless laughter and buckets of hope.

Those same feet that would crack and bleed,
Wrapped in bandages for the sake of his art.
Would never disappoint the masses
They would always play their part.

But the feet that would fly on every stage
Would hasten even quicker for a child.
For their real purpose was to give back,
That's what made him truly smile.

The man who's footprints were captured
Broke many barriers with his dance.
With many a loafer that was worn to the nub.
Those feet gave all that they had.

For there in cement along with his palm,
The "broken heart stone" of our king.
His was broken and ours was, too,
When those footprints became his wings.

We thank you for the sacrifice, Michael
Rest in heavenly peace
