| . Last minute charity for those around you: (Note:
This project is for the adventurous.) . We here at MJ-Upbeat have been working on an anonymous project
at home that we'd like to share with the fans in hopes that you 'too'
might like the idea and adopt it for yourself.
. . If you do not have a lot of money, which we certainly
don't, then you can scale down your project to whatever fits you and
what you can afford. :-)
. . What we've been doing:
. While we like to donate to the many worldwide charities
that are at our disposal, we realize that there are people who are struggling
this holiday season right in our own neighborhoods. Including our
next door neighbors, the poorest section's in our inner city
and maybe even a close friend who is too proud to admit that they need
help!
. Those are the people that we want to focus on this
holiday season.
. 'Our' particular project here in Boston is anonymous
but if we can pull this off properly, hopefully there will be some
surprises on Christmas day for some children in our area. :-)))
. .. .. . Please keep in mind that if you are going to leave gifts anonymously, PLEASE leave them UNWRAPPED due to security reasons after September 11. . .. We haven't perfected our idea as this is our first year trying it but our intention's are to put toys upon the doorstep of needy families on Christmas day. This is why it's imperitive to keep the gifts unwrapped, because the families will have no idea 'who' the packages are coming from and will not know if they are safe. . . You may choose to leave a note or simply leave the gifts alone that's up to you. . . Having been in a very difficult situation at one time myself, I know what it feels like to recieve such an act of kindness from another human being for my family and have always wished to bring that kindness to others. The joy it brings cannot be put into words. I wish this for all families in need. . We hope that our suggestion might inspire everyone
to remember the children who are needy right in their own neighborhoods.
Your kindness might bring incredible joy to another family on Christmas.
