The King Of Pop is setting new charts standards. His death caused a huge demand for his albums and singles also in Germany and is dominating the German charts.
An unbelievable number of 24 singles and 9 albums are placed in the German charts.
Media Control, who are releasing the charts said that in 32 years they have never seen a comparable demand and they don’t expect this to ever happen again. About 60% of all sales in the Album Top 10 were of Michael Jackson albums.
In the Album Charts ‘King Of Pop’ and ‘Thriller’ stormed to #1 and #2, respectively. ‘Number Ones’ went to #7 and ‘BAD’ to #9. Other album chart placings:
