Footage Of Pepsi Commercial Accident

Usmagazine.com has published exclusive footage of Michael Jackson’s Pepsi commercial accident, filmed in L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium (USA) back on January 27, 1984.

While shooting the Pepsi commercial together with his brothers, duing one take the pyrotechnics explode too fast, setting Michael’s hair on fire. At first, Michael is unaware he’s on fire, and continues dancing.

He suffered second and third-degree burns on his scalp and body. To relieve the pain from the burns and later to help him tolerate multiple surgeries on the scorched spot on his head, Michael was prescribed heavy pain medication. Some say that this was when Michael got in contact with such heavy painkillers and it might have been a basis for an addiction to painkillers later on.
