On Feb. 7th this year, we attended the Grand Opening and debut performance of the new Tribute Royalty show at V Theater in Las Vegas. This show is a rousing tribute to three of the greatest musical entertainers of all time…Michael Jackson, Elvis, and Lady Gaga.
This show indeed captured the essence of these three musical megastars and summarily provided for a great musical entertainment option for Vegas visitors. The show involved a well-synchronized video backdrop, lighting sequences, and soundtrack musical accompaniment system for all three tribute artists. Tribute Royalty’s entertainment value was greatly enhanced by a troupe of amazing supportive dancers that were involved in each iconic tune performance.
The sound acoustics in the V Theater were quite impressive, and the individual tribute artists nailed their performances both in mannerisms and vocal mimicry associated with the original stars. The seating arrangement in the theater provided for an intimate setting and there didn’t appear to be a bad seat in the house.
Overall, our favorite of the three performers was the Elvis (Travis Allen) tribute artist. He was very personable, offered several Elvis-isms that were memorable, and eventually captured many of the traits of the original King. Both the Lady Gaga (Erika Moul) and MJ (Edward Moss) tribute artists were excellent as well. The Lady Gaga artist was very adept at conveying that famous sassy image. The MJ artist was simply one hell of a dancer and captured many of the original MJ moves (including the ‘moonwalk’) on stage.
This show is produced by Matt Lewis, who was an acclaimed Elvis impersonator in Las Vegas for several years prior to his involvement with this new tribute show.
Tribute Royalty is staged six days a week (dark Sundays) at 4 p.m. at the V Theater located in the Miracle Mile Shops adjacent to Planet Hollywood. Tickets run $49.99 (GA) to $69.99 (VIP).
We highly recommend Tribute Royalty for fans of three of the most memorable entertainers in history. Guests attending this show will be fully entertained and appreciative of the involved talent and overall production.
