Michael Jackson‘s posthumous album Xscape has soared to number one in the digital charts in over 50 countries.
The anticipated album was released on Monday (May 12) in the UK and yesterday (May 13) in the United States.
The album’s executive producer LA Reid compiled eight previously unheard songs from Jackson’s recording vaults and handed them over to producers, challenging them each to add a contemporary spin to the tracks.
Timbaland has revealed to MTV News that being the executive producer for the album was “very trying”.
‘Love Never Felt So Good’, the first single to be lifted from the album was premiered at the iHeart Radio Music Awards earlier this month. A duet version of the track features Justin Timberlake.
