Today In Michael Jackson History (June 20th)

1970 - The Jacksons preform their concert at the Forum, in LA. This concert at the Los Angeles Forum in front of an audience of 18,000. At one point in the show, teenage girls invade the stage forcing the group to run for safety.
Michael described the pandemonium to a Soul interviewer: “In San Francisco and Los Angeles, it looked like the walls were falling the way hundreds of them came at the stage all together. But we have to practice getting away, too, so we’re ready to drop everything and run. Jermaine dropped his guitar and took off at the end of the Forum concert. We can always get a new guitar for him, but he’d be kinda hard to replace.”

1977- Michael attends a Studio 54 party for the stage show Beatlesmania. He gives a brief interview.

1994- “Big Boy”, the first ever Jackson 5 single is re-released by Ben Brown, the owner of Steeltown Records along with previously unreleased material from the 1968 recording sessions at his studio.

    MJ is truly the king. Anytime i listen to his records i feel like he is still alive. Certainly one of the biggest pop music stars ever been born!
