Today in Michael Jackson History - April 20

2002 - Michael Jackson performed “Dangerous” at the taping of the “American Bandstand 50th Anniversary” TV special. He performed the song a second time because he was not pleased with his performance.

1997 - Michael Jackson was on hand to unveil a wax statue of himself at the Grevin Museum of Wax in Paris. He provided one of his own outfits to dress the statue.

1996 - Michael Jackson’s single “They Don’t Care About Us” debuted at #4 in the U.K.

2009 - Michael starts the rehearsals for the “This Is It’ concerts at Center Staging in Burbank, California with Kenny Ortega & Travis Payne.

2010 - Cirque du Soleil announced that it was preparing two live touring shows featuing the songs of Michael Jackson.

1990 - singer Janet Jackson received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

    MJ is undoubtedly the king. When i listen to his records i feel like he is still alive. Surely one of the biggest music stars ever been born!
