For the third week, “The Essential Michael Jackson” on Epic is top of the album chart in the UK.
Michael’s share of the singles top 40 has dropped from 11 to 5, although he still has 15 titles in the top 75. The highest placed is “Man In The Mirror” which fell from 3 to 8..
Michael still has six albums in the top 20, down from nine last week. “Essential” was followed by “Thriller,” up again 3 - 4. “The Motown Years” (Motown/Universal) with the Jackson 5 is up 5 from 4th.
“Off The Wall” fell from 3 to 7, “Number Ones” 7 to 10 and “King of Pop” 14 to 20. Michael sold 1.75 million singles and albums in the UK since his death.
