Hayvenhurst is placed in Encino, Los Angeles. Michael Jackson lived there from 11 to 30. Afterwards, he moved to Neverland but in Hayvenhurst, he designed his first idea about his ideal home.
He bought the property to his father in the early 80s. The house imitated the Tudor style but of course, Michael changed its serious design, building a Disney castle with fairytale turrets, towers with clocks and toy store fronts. ‘Follow your dreams’ and ‘Touch the stars’ are the main mottos.
In Hayvenhurst, The King of Pop dreamed for the first time. Candy stores, colored bulbs and a mini zoo with giraffes, llamas, snakes and the legendary Bubbles, his pet chimpanzee.
Katherine, Michael mother, has been taking care of everything all these years, because her son loved this house and the garden: koi ponds, fountains and immaculate lawn, with perfect beds of petunias and other flowers.
The interior is still full of photos and posters of Michael Jackson and his brothers and sisters: Janet, Randy, La Toya, Rebbie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito. Also, photos of different celebrities who Michael met: Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, Stallone, the Beatles or Cary Grant.

No, thank you so much for putting this together…The ‘essence’ of Michael is there in that house……still. How I miss him so much….he left an empty space in our world when he left. I pray, he is in peace and surrounded by God’s loving protection. Prayers for Michael, his mom and his children.

There are some mistakes: Joe bought the house in 1971 so MJ was 13 not 11. and MJ bought the house for his mom in early 1980s he bought it from his dad
