1984 - The Victory tour contract is signed by boxing promoter Don King, football promoter, Chuck Sullivan and Joe and Katherine Jackson. Sullivan pays $38.5 million to become tour promoter, of which $12.5 million is paid up front.

1988 (June 4,5,6) - Michael performs to capacity audiences of 145,200 at three concerts at the Feyenoord Stadium in Rotterdam, Holland. (First night show)

1990 - Michael suffers more chest pains and tests are carried out. Throughout the day, Jackson family members visit their brother in hospital. The suspected heart attack is now thought to have been a nervous attack brought on by the star’s heavy workload, which includes an overdue new album. Bob Jones tells the press, “Michael has been under a lot of pressure lately. His friend Sammy Davis, Jr. passed away, his grandmother passed away about a month ago and his friend, Ryan White died of AIDS last month.”
