1995 - ‘Scream’ enters the British charts at number three. In America it debuts at number 5, making it the highest debut in the 37-year history of the Hot 100, toping the previous record held by The Beatles with ‘Let It Be’ which entered the chart at number 6 in March, 1970.

1983 - ‘Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin” enters the Black singles chart peaking at number 5 and remains on the charts for seventeen weeks.

1970 - Love You Save’ enters the Black singles chart. It peaks at number 1 holding its position for six weeks and remains on the charts for fourteen weeks.

1990 - Thousands of Michael’s fans stream into the hospital grounds carrying flowers and get-well messages to begin a vigil outside St. John’s Hospital. Bob Jones, Vice President of Communications for MJJ Productions says, “He’s undergoing several important tests. I don’t think it was a heart attack. He just experienced some discomfort. He had been feeling bad the past two or three days.”
